Richard Mallery Johnson
Vice President in charge of Real Properties, Acquisitions and Development
Rich Johnson... born Richard Mallery Johnson in 1950.As the only child of Helen and Richard R. Johnson he was from infancy taken along with them to enjoy the feasts at restaurants and dining rooms of every kind and menu. Even their numerous travels where planned with the primary destination being the sampling of a specific fare.
Rich received his primary education in the southwest suburb of Chicago. He received a Bachelor and a Master of Fine Arts degree after having studied both here in the states and in Europe. He briefly taught sculpture at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois.
Rich married a girl who loved to cook and works magic in the kitchen. From 1977 through 1979 he worked in the design and construction of restaurants and in 1980 he opened Johnson Lumber Company, Inc., a retail and wholesale operation supplying building materials, millwork and decorating inventory of all types. During this time he was often involved in the physical development, construction and remodeling of restaurants and country clubs along with the acquisitions of real property.
Upon retiring in 2002 from Johnson Lumber Company, Inc. he moved his family to the West Coast where he is a Realtor.
